Our Story

Pilates, with the strength built in.

  1. The problem

At his clinic and at Physio Gym Akhaada, Dr. Kevin Agrawal kept meeting people who were strong but stiff, or active but always injured.

  2. The practice

Rachna, a certified Pilates instructor, triathlete and marathoner, knew Pilates was what kept her own body ready.

  3. The studio

So they built FitFormer: Pilates blended with resistance training, so you never miss the strength part of your fitness journey.

FAQ

Good questions

I've never done Pilates. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Your first session includes a walkthrough of the equipment, and every exercise can be scaled to your level.

Can kids do Pilates?

Yes. With age-appropriate, supervised sessions, Pilates helps children build posture, coordination and body awareness. Ask us about the right starting age.

Is Pilates safe for seniors / the elderly?

Yes. It's low-impact and fully adaptable, and great for balance, joint mobility and bone health. Our physio-led assessment means we tailor every session to you.

Will I get stronger?

Yes. FitFormer blends Pilates with resistance training, so you build real strength alongside mobility and core control.

I have an injury. Can I join?

Yes. With a sports physiotherapist behind the programming, we assess you first and adapt your sessions. After recent surgery we may suggest a few private sessions first.

Reformer or Mat?

Reformer uses springs to assist and challenge you, which is great for strength and rehab. Mat builds core control with bodyweight. Most people benefit from a mix.

What should I wear?

Fitted activewear and grip socks (available at the studio), plus a water bottle.

How often should I come?

As Joseph Pilates, the founder of Pilates, put it: in 10 sessions you'll feel the difference, in 20 you'll see it, and in 30 you'll have a whole new body. Choose what fits your week: with regular classes you'll reach 30 sessions in about 5 weeks, with alternate-day classes in about 10. Start your first 10 →
